Top Sign of Sexiness

Keeping your hands well-tended is not about metrosexuality, but something that goes beyond the modern day conventions of beauty and wellness. When women can go that extra mile to keep their bodies beautiful, clean, and soft to the touch, is it too much for men to offer them at least well-groomed hands.

A man with neat, moisturized hands is a huge turn-on for a woman, making her want to hold it or even kiss it. It not only boosts the pleasure of lovemaking, but is also the most hygienic way out, for there are parts of a woman’s body that are sensitive to grubby fingers or uncut nails. Even if you are prone to dirtying your hands, ensure they are properly washed, and the nails filed before you meet your lady. Remember, hands are as important a part of your body as any. And by keeping them clean, soft and well-tended, you are only gaining her appreciation. So, take care of your hands, and follow a few quick steps to keep them in top-of-the-world condition.

Wash and cleanse them
To forget washing your hands after a meal is common. Even though you have used a tissue paper, food particles remain stuck around the corner of your nails. So, always remember to use soap and rinse your hands thoroughly. Use a gel or cream cleanser on them everyday before retiring to bed or after a bath. Here you can even adapt a homegrown technique. Use the juice of citrus fruits such as orange or lemon onto your hands, and massage well before rinsing it off with soap. Always towel-dry your hands – they stay soft that way!

Chip off calloused skin and moisturize
Exfoliation is most important for your skin, particularly in maintaining soft, kissable hands. This can be done by soaking your hands for a few minutes in lukewarm water. You can even add drops of hand-wash gel to the water and stir it, before dipping your hands in it. After five minutes, you will be able to peel off the dead skin with a damp sponge. Another way of doing it is to squish orange or cucumber pulp and dab it on your palms, and do a thorough massage. Rinse your hands, and follow it up by rubbing a small quantity of moisturizer into them. Gradually, you can cultivate a habit of using moisturizer every time you wash your hands.

Trim your nails regularly
Men, as a rule of thumb, should always keep their nails clipped. Claw-like nails are capable of bruising your girl in sensitive places, which in no way will be overlooked by her! It is not only an embarrassing situation, but also a matter of how hygiene conscious you are. After trimming, round off the edges with a filer. Don’t forget, women observe!

Use nail hardener – there is nothing dandy about it!
You can even use a nail hardener; it is a kind of varnish for your nails. Hardener helps keep your nails clean and healthy. It is in fact an apt finish to a well-groomed hand. And be sure she will notice your hands with a sense of admiration.

Go for calcium tablets
Brittle nails are indicative of calcium deficiency. There is a range of calcium tablets and supplements on the market that makes nails strong and healthy. Nails too need nutrition, and this can be provided by taking multivitamins with a big dose of calcium. You can even consider a breakfast of green salad with a glass of toned milk. Not to mention, an adequate intake of water during the day.

Care for your hands, and this time, let them do the talking!

Why Sleep on a Round Mattress?

A round mattress, like any other mattress, is just another way to get a good night sleep, isn't it? Or is a round mattress more? Is a round mattress in some way even better? The ancient Greek Philosopher Plato, might have said, "Sleeping on a round mattress would be the ideal mattress." Certainly Buckminster Fuller, the inventor of the Geodesic Sphere would have preferred a round mattress to the conventional square. In fact, what better addition to a round house, than a round mattress?

A square mattress just wouldn't fit in a round house. But why round? What makes the circle so much more important to a philosopher, or a scientist? In one word; space… According to Plato, who was well versed in geometry, the sphere is the ideal structure of the universe. While Buckminster Fuller enjoyed the sphere's philosophical nature, he preferred to see it practically. Between the sphere and the tetrahedron, it is the sphere that occupies the smallest surface area in total, while containing the largest internal area, than any other solid. While the opposite is true for the tetrahedron, the same concept is used in analyzing the area of the circle and triangle. Geometrically, ROUND is bigger on the inside, and smaller on the outside. Paradoxal, but true; even if two triangles are fit together to make a square; the circle still has more space inside it.

To the sleeper, space is one of the most important characteristics of comfort, because it means having the freedom to move the body to its most preferred position, and still staying within the relaxing support zone of the bed. Space, is more than comfort, space is freedom. Not just freedom of movement for one single person, round mattresses, can be made to accommodate, couples as well.

The comfort zone however, for some, can be different, than for others. One of the nicest features of the round mattress is it's adaptability to individual needs. As there is a larger inner special area than in the conventional square or rectangular mattresses, the circle allows customized split mattresses to be far roomier than traditional split mattresses. So that if of the two people sleeping in the bed, one needs a totally different kind of mattress than the other, a split round mattress can provide the ideal mattress sleep requirements for both.

If a sleeper is to feel relaxed on a mattress, it is important that the mattress is one which abides to their sense of aesthetics. Many people prefer round mattresses, merely because of their aesthetic nature. Round mattresses just seem to be more pleasing to the human eye. To this, Plato would most agree. As the circle invoked in him such a spiritual side, that just isn't the case with most people. Most people just think it is a nice looking mattress, something different, something unique, to give life a little bit of taste. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so no really logical conclusion can be made as to why people seem to think a round mattress is aesthetic, the important thing is that the person feels better sleeping on it rather than a traditional one, the point is relaxation.

A round mattress is more spacious and offers more freedom of movement. Due to its unique design, its round nature, it becomes far more adaptable to individual needs as soft as a cloud to as firm as a mountain. You will feel like you are floating on the surface of a timid blue lake. You will relax.

Tired of Dark Armpits? Here's help

If dark armpits are spoiling your wish to show off the sleeveless dress or jazz up the oomph factor with spaghetti tops, don't worry. There are some sure shot remedies to banish them for ever.

Though there is no medical reason behind someone having dark underarms, experts say that mostly all joints like knees, elbows and armpits are dark compared to other body parts. "There is no scientific reason behind why a person has dark underarms but the fact is that mostly all joints are dark," Apollo Hospital senior cosmetic surgeon Anup Dhir said. "But with the latest medical technologies, you can easily get rid of them or else lighten the skin tone of that particular area," he added.

Experts also reveal that excessive use of hair-removing creams and shaving are the major causes of darkening armpits. "Waxing is the best hair removal option for the area under the arms. Still, many people prefer shaving and hair removal creams. This is a bad idea because shaving does not remove hair by the roots and the chemicals present in the hair removal creams result in discoloration of the skin under the arms," beauty expert Shahnaz Hussain said.

Other than shaving and hair removal creams, use of deodorants and perfumes directly on the skin leads to darkening this area further. According to Kaya Skin Clinic's dermatologist Hema Pant, people have this misconception that sweating results in darkening the armpit area.

"Sweat has no direct relation with darkening under the arm area. But, yes, it has an indirect role. "People use deodorants and perfumes to get rid of body odor which in turn makes the armpits area darker if they use it directly on their skin," she said.

Agreeing with her, Dhir said: "Deodorants contain metallic salts that result in darkening the skin tone and sometimes people also complain about developing rashes and some itchiness. The fact is that these metallic salts are not at all good for your skin."

In terms of treatment, markets are flooded with various options starting from the permanent hair removal treatment to body peel and from Botox treatment to some skin lightening creams.

According to Dhir, laser is the best option because this results in permanent hair removal and improves the skin tone of the area as well. Also peels like spa body do wonders in lightening the skin tone of that area, if one is not facing excessive hair growth or dark under the arm skin problem.

"Spa body peels remove blackness of the armpits. This is a moderate to extensive exfoliation which needs around 4-6 sittings to see the results. But the best option for all those who have heavy hair growth should be to opt for laser because that is the best way out to remove hair permanently," said Dhir.

"The process requires 4-5 sittings, depending on the hair growth." Dhir also emphasized the fact that Botox treatment is limited to mere 2-4 percent people because only those who suffer from excessive sweating go for it. The result lasts anywhere between six months and one year.

"In this method, we paralyze sweat glands temporarily and not many people go for this treatment because in most cases it is not required. One should also use sunblock creams in this area to prevent their further darkening," Dhir explained.

While many people are opting for these treatments, there are many who still stick to the home remedy and for them Shahnaz Hussain has a simple mantra. "Mix besan (gram flour), curd, lemon juice and a little turmeric and apply at least three times a week under the arms. Wash it off after half an hour. It will definitely work wonders," Hussain said.

Why Do We Got Easily Tired At Noon?

There is something about the post lunch hour, when a sense of boredom creeps in and time weighs so heavy that you can almost hear the clock tick. As the sun shines brightest upon the day, we feel an urge to retire to bed or if we are at work, to put our heads down and catch 40 winks.

The midday tiredness is a by-product of a modern lifestyle that keeps us always on the move, hardly leaving us with time to stop and have a proper breakfast. At work, you’ll see colleagues drinking cups and cups of coffee just to stay awake or engaging in mindless chatter to bide time and ward off boredom. But why are we prepared to give up on the day by noon while pending work mounts, and there is so much more to generally go through?

We talk to experts on the reasons for the dismal energy levels at noon, and how best we can correct it.

No goodnight sleep
Most of us bring the office home, continue to talk on the phone, or work on laptops and endlessly watch television till midnight. This takes away from our prime sleep hours that help restore tired nerves and rejuvenates the body. A routine of sleeping late and waking up early, and then rushing to work, leaves you exhausted much sooner in the day. Get at least 7-8 hours of undisturbed sleep. Preferably, turn your cell phones off while you do so.

No time for play
When you have no exercise routine sketched out, you do burn out faster. Agreed, morning hours are the busiest, but it is worth squeezing in a brief workout schedule. Anything from brisk walks, jogging, skipping to running on the treadmill helps, if going to the gym is too far-fetched an idea for you. An evening workout is not half as effective as an early morning warm up sets the pace for the remainder of the day. If nothing else, it secretes ‘happy hormones’ which gives your body the much-needed inward push.

Anxious, all the time
Taking too much stress not only gives you high blood pressure, but reduces your attention span as well. Avoid being restless and edgy, and consciously try to stay happy and hassle-free. Take pride in your work, your family, your house and your surroundings. It’ll keep you going.

No time for breakfast
Most people who feel tired by afternoon are the ones that skip breakfast in favor of a large lunch. If you do not take meals in the designated time frame, it’ll affect your hormonal secretion and leave you lethargic. Not taking breakfast works up your appetite, and subsequently, you overdo the lunch.

Tips to stay vivacious
- Take a timely and balanced breakfast comprising a bowl of oats, or cereals of your choice, fruits, and toast with some butter or margarine on it.
- Avoid drinking too much coffee or tea after breakfast and before lunch. Not only are you ruining your appetite, the excess caffeine makes you anxious as well.
- Don’t overeat at lunchtime as you are bound to feel tired for the rest of the day. However, your lunch should be a right balance of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. You can take chapattis, a bowl of dal, and a portion of green vegetables. Non-vegetarians can substitute dal with chicken stew, both a source of proteins. Try to avoid rice in the afternoon as it will invariable give you a belly bulge. In fact, if you go for a balanced diet at lunchtime, you wouldn’t require any of the calcium and multi-vitamin supplements.
- Sleep adequately at night.
- Swing into action an exercise schedule. Be it heavy duty gyming or a workout at home.
- Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water through the day.
- Avoid snacking between breakfast and lunch. It’s good to indulge in fresh fruits of various hues. From apples, peaches, oranges, berries, pomegranate to banana, fruits have their own distinctive properties, and are an abundant source of Vitamin A, C, potassium and flavonoids among others.
- Potato chips are a total diet killer. Take sprouts instead. You can even carry it in a little box with you to work, and have it when you feel the urge to snack. It keeps you fresh and your body, lighter.
